Manish Tewari
My life has deeply revolved around public and political activism since 1981.
From 23 May 2019 , I served as the member of Parliament (17th lok Sabha) from Sri Anandpur Sahib, Punjab. Then From 13th September 2019, I also served as the Standing committee on Finance.
Distinguished Senior Fellow, Atlantic Counsel, USA Advocate of Supreme Court of India.
From 28 October 2012 to 26 May 2014 , I served as the Minister of In formation and Broadcasting in the Government of India
In May 2009, I became Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Ludhiana Parliamentary Constituency, Punjab. In August, I became the member of Estimated Committee, Then I was selected as Member of Standing committee on Personal ,Public Grievances, Law & Justice. In September, Serve as member of consultative committee for ministry of Defence and Law & Justice. In November, became member of committee on regional direct taxes advisory and Ministry of Finance , Govt. of India .
In February 2008, I was selected as the National Spokesperson of the Indian National Congress (INC).
In July 2004, I have served as as Secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC).
I have served the people through my roles as the National President of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) from 1998 to 2000. Elected member of all India Congress Committee (AICC) since 1991.
I have served the people through my roles as the Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) from 1997 to 1998.
The International Union of Students is Headquartered in Prague (Chech Lands). IT has a membership of 193 Organizations spanning 115 countries. I served as president till 1993.
I served as the National President of Nation Student Union Of India (NSUI) From 1988 to 1993.
In May 1985 , I served as General Secretary in the National Committee of NSUI.
In October 1984 , I have served the people with my role as Joint Secretary in the National Committee of NSUI.
Selected as Vice President and then Officiating President, DAV Collage, Chandigarh and General Secretary of Punjab State (NSUI) till 1984.
I have served as General Secretary of Chandigarh State , NSUI till 1983.
I have served as the College Unit President of the National Student’s Union of India (NSUI), DAV College, Chandigarh till 1982.
